99 cents for a limited time
Please welcome M. Black, and you should check out her book Electric Gardens. It’s 99 cents for a limited time!
What would you say is your interesting writing quirk? Gosh, good one. I love to write on my bed with no one around. I guess my quirk is I can’t write as well with people around me. I need privacy.
In one sentence, tell us all about Electric Gardens. Ripped from family and thrown into a Tin controlled Compound twelve years ago, Lexi019 now believes her father is still alive outside, and she befriends a soul-searching Tin to fight her way out of the prison.
What inspired you to write the book? I love future technology and robots and asking what our world will look like in the future.
How long did this one take to write? About three months.
What’s next for the Electric World series? ELECTRIC GRIDS. Out now! This is a four book series. They are all finished, but the last two books won’t come out till January 2019. This is a relaunch after leaving my publisher Creativia.
What have you learned about writing now compared to when you started? Wow, great questions! I had no idea what I was doing when I first started. I was just a bottle of enthusiasm and passion. But now I know so much about promoting, and book covers, editing, formatting, character ARCS.
What’s on your solar powered iPod in the post apocalypse? Steve Perry’s Don’t Stop Believing!
If you could travel through time and space, what would be your top destination? I’d like to check out the hype of Mars for myself 😉
Tell us about future writing projects. I am done with my next book, a kind of Goonies meets Enders Game, and is currently entitled DRONE WARS. I hope to release it by the summer of 2019. It is really fun!

Atmospheric Pressure 2 is here. If you like what I do and want to see more of it, consider purchasing it on kindle, paperback, or audiobook. If budget is a concern, I will be offering it for 99 cents mid September. I am also giving the first one for free in this group giveaway.
If you enjoyed the series, consider leaving reviews for both of the books. Honest reviews help other people find books they love. I also would never ask you to write anything, but what you feel about the book.
Finally, if you want to help out, tell a friend, or better yet buy them the kindle version as a gift!
Thank you all. Your continued support means a lot.
My dystopian novel, Atmospheric Pressure, was selected to be in a 6 book bundle for Valentine’s day. Check it out:
Exclusive 6 Book Bundle That Will Break Your Heart
This limited release 6 book bundle is perfect for Valentine’s Day, at least if you want to delve into heartbreak and action that will leave you yearning for more. It includes Sundown Apocalypse by Leo Nix, Simulation by M. Black, Lily of the Valley by Ruth White, Atmospheric Pressure by Aaron Frale, Planet Fall 1799 by Chogan Swan, and Stories from the War by Autumn Birt. You can grab a copy by clicking the link below:
I’m also participating in a free download extravaganza for Science Fiction and Fantasy YA Authors. You can get a free copy of the first Teristaque Chronicles story Kal’s Fall along with many other great books. Check them out over here.
As many of you may have read in your email, Kindle Scout didn’t select my book, Atmospheric Pressure. However, I did get serious consideration as it took them a long time to decide, even after other books were rejected that ended at the same time as mine. If you’d still like a free copy please leave a comment with your Amazon email in this post, and I’ll get one over to you. However, if you could spare the $3 to buy the book that would really help me out. The first month of book sales are the most important in the life of a book. If it gets enough sales, it will appear on many Amazon lists and continue on its own. If it doesn’t, it disappears into obscurity. If you have a Kindle Unlimited account, all you need to do is download it for the sale to count.
Please think of the $3 as your contribution to an independent artist. And if you’d like to donate more than three, you can by gift copies for your friends and family. All you need is their email address. You can purchase the book here.
My next book Atmospheric Pressure is ready to be shared with the world. And it has some awesome cover art by a buddy of mine named Philip Hughes. Before I unleash it on the world of Amazon, I have a request from all of you. Please nominate the book in Kindle Scout. I need nominations to get a publishing deal, and nominators get a free Kindle edition if I get published. It’s a win for both of us. Click here to nominate.
Here’s a short description of the book:
Olson lives in a city that has been sealed from the outside world. He’s an Eleven Year and close to citizenship. His life is upended when one of the few adults who cares about him commits suicide – or so it appears at first. While investigating, Olson meets a girl named Natalie snooping around his school. He soon learns that one of her friends died under similarly mysterious circumstances. Together, they start looking for answers, and end up discovering the city’s darkest secrets.
