A couple of years ago, I started writing a trilogy about a group of teens who heard the sound of nearby parallel universes and could travel to them. It started with a conversation where my wife and I were talking about how malls are the same everywhere, and if there was a multiverse, Forever 21 would find a way to put a store there (this all happened while we were walking past a Forever 21 and commenting how if we stepped into a parallel world would we even know it).
This trilogy is probably the most exciting and action-packed thing I ever wrote. Because I had decided not to share it until the last book was done, it took some turns and twists I didn’t expect because I could always go back and rewrite the first book. I am ready to release all three, and I’m going to do it on the same day. If you want to get a copy before anyone else does, go to my patreon page. I am going to give you all three, and the best part is I’m not going to change the prices. That’s right, you get all three for the price of one. Stay tuned to this space for more information. In the meantime, help support one of my colleagues with his new release, The Fringe Candidate. Here is a sneak peek at the cover art of book 1:
In the void between universes, a secretive organization called the Tuners works to maintain peace in the multiverse. The stability is threatened when a group of religious radicals seek to burn all those who do not believe. Jon Xiong, a seventeen-year-old from Montana, gets caught up in much bigger problems when the cult members appear at his home. The order wants him because he has the ability distinguish the subtle differences of the cosmic background noise between universes. He can tune, and now he is a foot soldier stuck between those who would maintain order in the universe and those who would destroy it. Some gift tuning turned out to be.
The second book in the Atmospheric Pressure series is finally ready to be released. In celebration of the occasion, I am going to giveaway the first book for free. You can snag your copy with many other books in this group giveaway until 7/15/18. Traditionally, I have given away my books during a free promotion near release day. As I attempt to move my business model to focus on book sales, I will not be doing a free giveaway for Atmospheric Pressure 2, but rather a 99 cent promotion. Keep watching this space for details.
Here’s the description:
Olson is trapped in a city that is on the hunt for him. He has nowhere to run as the whole place is sealed from the toxic atmosphere. Nobody wants to help him until he meets a scientist who knows his true origins. Meanwhile, back home, his friends are caught under the thumb of a brutal regime, until they decide to fight back.
This year has been quite an adventure for my writing. Even though I just released a book last April, I’m going to release another one on July, 5th. The Teristaque Chronicles Volume I is a space adventure story in the vein of Star Trek. It’s up for pre-order now, so get your copy by following the link above. The book includes the first five short stories in one book, so it’s a great deal.
The Teristaque Chronicles is an ongoing writing project where I’ve been writing parts to a larger series in small novelettes rather than releasing a book. Eventually, each character in the series will have their own stories. Some advance the overall plot, others are just backstory to a particular character. Here’s a description of the first story:
Kal has always been considered too “fragile” to participate in the village activities. Her lithe stature seems to link her to her father, and distance her from everyone else. He left the village to fight in the Teristaque Wars and never returned. She meets Sarge, a strange star species of the human race who seems to know the secret of the patch from her father’s uniform. Kal has always known she is different than her fellow villagers, and finally she may be closer to finding out why.
